posted 02/23/2006 In the event of inclement weather, please call the WAWSL hotline at 703-827-7907. Cancellation information will be available on the outgoing message starting at 7am. If you call after 7am and hear the regular sunny day greeting, then the games are on as scheduled. (For summer season evening games, cancellation information will be available on the outgoing message starting at 5pm.)
Our goal is to play as many games as possible without damaging the fields or jeopardizing our permits. We also aim to provide timely notification of cancellations. Often these goals are in conflict and we must do our best to strike a proper balance. For more information on how rain-out decisions are made, click here.
