How to Use The Exchange:
by Webmaster on 8/24/2017

This exchange is for teams who don't have enough players (ie seven or fewer) to play in a game. Teams requesting additional players from the rest of the league must post by the Tuesday before the game. Please note: The game will still be considered a forfeit, so the team without enough players should post a 3-0 loss, however, if the game is played the forfeiting team will not have to pay the fine. If a team still does not have enough players by Friday before the game, they should contact the other team and their division rep to notify them of the forfeit and please remember to fill out the Forfeiture Form
Players interested in playing an additional game, or who can't make their own game but still want to play on Saturday, can search the exchange for games they want to play in. Any registered WAWSL player from any division can play in any game. Players should contact the requesting teams by the Thursday before the game.

Good Ways to Use the Exchange

Teams Finding a Registered Substitute Player:  If you're a team representative trying to avoid cancelling the game due to low participation.

Registered WAWSL Players looking to find a team in need of a sub :  If you're a registered WAWSL player looking to play an additional game or unable to make your regularly scheduled game time.

When NOT to use the Exchange

If you're a new player looking to join a team, you shouldn't post on the Exchange. Instead, you should go to our "How to Join" page and fill out the New Player Form so that WAWSL's New Player Coordinators can try to place you on a team. If the Coordinators place you on a team but you also find one on the Exchange, things get confusing and complicated and you could end up with no team at all. Please use the New Player Form to find a team!

If you are a team rep looking for full-time players, you shouldn't post on the Exchange. Instead, send an email to our new player coordinators at newplayers@wawsl.org and let them know which team and division you are on, how many players you need, and which position(s).

Completing a Posting on the Exchange

Please make sure you are including contact information in the submission, including an email address in the posting and potentially a telephone number in the free form box, if texts are an acceptable way to contact you.

Publish date should be the date you are listing the post. Expiration Date should be no later than the Sunday immediately following the game you are looking for. There is no need to archive your posting.

Make sure you include your team, division, jersey color, field/time and other applicable details.

Adding New Items
Add your own listing by clicking the "Add New Item" button at the top of the page. This will bring up a simple form where you can enter information about your item and even an optional photo. After submitting the form, you will receive an e-mail with a key number you use to confirm your listing.  Once confirmed, your item will be immediately added to the exchange. It's that simple and there's no waiting.

To make a change or delete the item after it's sold: Click the Edit - or Delete - buttons that will appear next to your item.  Note that these buttons will only appear next to items you've submitted and only when using your computer.  No one else (except the web master) can edit or delete your submissions.  Also note however, that submissions deemed to be inappropriate for this web site will be immediately removed.
