The grass soccer field is located beyond the turf football stadium and up the hill from the softball fields.
Parking: Take John McCormack Rd NE all the way down, past the DuFour Center, until it dead-ends at a big trash pile. There could be a line of trucks waiting to unload rubbish - you can go around them. Then turn left onto an unmarked back road. It is alley that is adjacent to the field. Players should park on that street. You'll have to drive the wrong way and then turn-around at the dead-end to park. Walk by the lacrosse field to get to the soccer field.
From the Beltway (495): Take New Hampshire Ave South (exit 28) — proceed approx. 4.5 miles. LEFT onto North Capitol St. — proceed approximately 1.5 miles. LEFT (it′s actually more of a fork than a turn) onto Hawaii Ave. — proceed approximately 1 mile. See back side of DuFour Center on left. At stop light LEFT onto Taylor St., then a quick RIGHT (before the bridge) onto a ramp to take you underneath Taylor to John McCormack Rd. LEFT on John McCormack and then follow directions above for parking.
From 395 North: Stay in left lanes and take the Baltimore exit to New York Ave. (Route 50). RIGHT on New York Ave. Go through two lights and bear RIGHT on M St. LEFT on North Capitol St. RIGHT on Michigan Ave. — proceed approximately 1.3 miles. LEFT on John McCormack Rd., just before the bridge. Follow directions above for parking.
From I-66: I-66 East turns into Constitution Ave. in D.C. Follow Constitution and after passing 2nd St., immediately turn diagonally LEFT onto Louisiana Ave. At fifth light LEFT onto North Capitol St. RIGHT on Michigan Ave. — proceed approximately 1.3 miles. LEFT on John McCormack Rd., just before the bridge. Follow directions above for parking.
From Fort Totten Metro: Because the soccer field is at the very back of the CUA campus, it's actually closer to Fort Totten Metro. It's about a 15 minute walk from Fort Totten. When you come off the metro, turn left and walk along the sidewalk past the bus stops. Then you'll see a path to your left and a brown Rock Creek Park sign. Take the path through the field (it's well-marked and there are large lamps lining the way). When the path comes to an intersection, take a left on Fort Totten Dr NE. Go a few blocks along Fort Totten Dr. After you pass Allison St NE, the fields will be on your left. There is a bar closing off the road to cars. Step over the bar and you will see the entrance to the fields. Go past the lacrosse field to get to the soccer field.
From Brookland-CUA Metro: The field is about a 25 minute walk from the Brookland/CUA station on the red line. Exit to the left (west)when leaving the station. west from the brookland metro station. Take the staircase that leads onto McCormack Rd. Turn right onto McCormack and follow it about 3/4 of a mile to the athletic center. The field is behind the Defour Athletic Center. Follow the asphalt path all the way up the hill and the soccer field will be on your right. The parking map will help you get your bearings.
